Ok, here is a question. Does anyone know how to create custom hyperlinks in OE? When you compose a message in Outlook Express, highlight the text and click 'Create Hyperlink', it shows the most common protocols, but I want to add another one to the list. I tried adding it to the registry, but it doesn't seem to pick it up. I hope the list is not hard coded, is it? Should there be an Office Forum or something like that for these questions? Regards, Venet. Donec eris felix, multos numerabis amicos.

Let us make this the Outlook thread, I have a question to. No idea about yours though. Anyone know how to setup an Outlook rule that will mark emails that are automatically sent to the Junk or Deleted folder as read? It bugs me seeing the un-read items indicator in the name of these folders. ta. *new box still not unpacked* regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Miszou wrote: I have read the entire internet. on how boring his day was. If you didn't have to 'mark as read' all those messages, you'd probably have that new PC all set up. ;P Chris Meech If you spin a Chinese person around, do they become dis-oriented? It is on the "What do you want to do with the message' page. Michael 'Logic, my dear Zoe, merely enables one to be wrong with authority.' - The Doctor: The Wheel in Space

You could always permanently delete it and not have it go to the deleted folder. There's also that custom action thingamabobie - dunno how to use it though...

Thanks Michael. Unfortuanatley you can only do that on recieving an email, not when an email is moved to another folder. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Miszou wrote: I have read the entire internet. on how boring his day was. Crikey! ain't life grand?

That would be nice if spam filtering was 100% accurate. Unfortuanatley (man I cannot spell that word) it sometimes tags real emails and I don't want those permanently deleted :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Miszou wrote: I have read the entire internet. on how boring his day was. Ah. All my rules run when receiving email - I just assumed you worked that way too. Michael 'Logic, my dear Zoe, merely enables one to be wrong with authority.' - The Doctor: The Wheel in Space

hehe. For instance the spam filter checks for what it thinks is garbage in the email. But since we send HTML code in emails sometimes, it tags that as spam. Sure I can add co-workers as trusted senders, but sometimes a client will send out of the blue and having that auto-deleted is not good. We installed spamAssasin on the server, first email it tagged was from the boss to me :-D regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Miszou wrote: I have read the entire internet. on how boring his day was.
