Crikey, as Paul would say! Is that frozen stuff already? It's still in the 100-110s here every day, and will be for a month. So, when are you buying a Winnebago and joining the hordes that descend on Bullhead City every winter, turning our streets and highways into deathtraps and filling our casinos with fetid odors of unwashed socks?:-D "Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything,

Oddly enough I'm trying to get into Canada so I can work with the Dundas folks. You guys have snow already? Damn! It's still hanging at 40-60F here, plus we're Oktoberfesting, so the beer jackets are plentiful. Shouldn't be seeing snow for a while yet.

Hard frost warning tonight. Not unexpected, the Farmer's Alamac sez it's going to be an ugly winter - been right more than the weather man.

I'd quote you, but like Nish I'm too lazy to type all that HTML ;P > You guys have snow already? Damn! It was only a few minutes worth, but nothing I wanted to see on the first of October. I just hope its the last I see of it until at least Thanksgiving. Wishful thinking! I'm so worried that about it dropping down to the low 60's in the coming days...err...nights. Pondering that next jacket purchase already... Today's high was 96...by Friday they predict mid 80's.

I'm looking forward to the chilly weather; half my wardrobe is for a colder climate, and soft flannels are my favorites. Unfortunately, such clothing is impractical when the sun is causing the paint on the car to blister. Having just checked Weather.com it appears we may be in for an early Fall, as they are predicting temps < 100 for the next 10 days, and nights in the 60s. Of course they also pinpoint my zip code as being in Needles, AZ (there is no such place, though there is a Needles, CA 30 miles south of here). "Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything,
but you still can't help but smile when you see one
                      tumble down the stairs."
