I think you got the basics, I don't know where it came from. But it's basically a tag game. The seeker closes his/her eyes and the other have to answer when the seeker calls. Then they try and move before the seeker catches them. I played it when I was a kid. It's one of those games that American kids just seem to know, rather than ever remembering when we were taught how to play. I haven't seen the commercial or heard the song you mention though. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for [the one in authority] does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of Wrath to bring punishment to the wrongdoer -- Romans 13:4

OK, I assume this is a game. Can someone explain to me what it is all about? There is an advertisement for Mastercard on the TV at the moment. It is an American ad that has been over-dubbed to try and fool us into believing it is Australian (they just all happen to have American accents). In it a man is walking in a pool with his eyes shut. He says "Marco", then the rest of the group say "Polo". I also have the OPM, Menace to Sobriety CD (brilliant). Track 14, Fish out of Water has the line, "Marco ... Polo ... don't you know that's how the game goes". It's just bugging the shit out of me. :-D Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. a) What's the rest of the OPM CD like? Been *that* close to grabbing a copy for a while. b) Have you ever heard an American do an Australian accent well? Me neither. It's weird. Ed Worsfold at Dundas does THE best Australian accent I've ever heard outside of Oz. Maybe it's got something to do with him eating a ton of vegemite, maybe it's because he plays Aussie rules footy. Maybe both. But anyone else... X| cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

What's the rest of the OPM CD like? Buy it, buy it, buy it. Fucking brilliant, best CD I have bought for a long time. 16 tracks, 3 are interludes, track 1 and 15 are OK while the other 11 are great. Not one track sounds in any way like another. Multiple music styles, rock, pop, rappish, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jamaican, Wheatus, etc. Just go and buy it tomorrow. CodeProject can live without you for half an hour. Then you can code while listening to it. Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. Peace" - Victor Stone

Mel had a brilliant Australian accent during the Mad Max series. Seems to have lost it since, especially in the Lethal Weapon series. :-D Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. So it's OK then? ;) I've bought a few CD's lately that have started out promising but then when you get past the 2 token tracks the rest of the CD totally bites, so I'm getting jaded about forking out $25 for 2 songs. OK - I'll venture outside tomorrow and see if I can find a copy. You sure you'll be OK for 30mins without me? You sure I can trust you? :P cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

                          b) I met this guy in Rhode Island (where the native accent is rather peculiar as well) who had a strong Aussie accent. I assumed he was from down under until after about a week the accent reverted to Rhode Islander. I commented on his excellent Rhode Island accent which as it turns out was real. He swears he just woke up one morning(after a hard night at the pubs) and couldn't stop talkin' Australian. Anyways it wore off after a bit but it was rather strange nonetheless.
