Yeah...it's all that foul language I use and the very controversial posts I make.

Exactly my point. Perhaps a restatement of my point, in fact. Possibly my exact words, though i can't be bothered to look at present. Too busy.

Ooops. Didn't make that clear. I meant to say national in the American context and certainly not in the Canadian one. I'm not a big fan of the CBC, though. Other than HNIC, there's not much that I watch from them. [Go Habs, Go] :-D Chris Meech If you spin a Chinese person around, do they become dis-oriented? Why do people in this time period worry so much about time traveler's destroying their worldline when they have no problem doing it themselves every day? John Titor.

For my money this is the sort of thought process that will eventually take Western society down the tubes. To distract from the subject at hand, which you know to be both the exposure of children to homosexuality (a perversion regardless of politically correct opinion) or to oral sex when they're at an age where a kiss on the lips (those under your nose) should be tittilating enough, to say, "well it isn't as bad as a serial killer" is a step down the path to the eventual point where there is no such thing as morality. Furthermore, to see it on TV at a time when children are sure to be watching is to give tacit, societal approval of something that should be under the control of parents to approve or disapprove, not a TV station, not a producer, not a director, not a government, not a neighbor. To put it more succinctly, it is the parents job to teach morals. That includes attitudes regarding sex, the taking of lives, telling the truth - not the media's. Mike

The rest of your points are valid: it is up the parent to raise the kid, not the TV. It wouldn't appear on a TV show here in Kerala. The censor rules are quite strict and the channel would be severly criticised. I am sure the channel rating among family viewers will go for a toss. I personally feel it very inappropriate, especially you wouldn't know if you'd be watching it with your parents. Brand new show last night. I'm sure that there is a broad spectrum of people who liked and didn't like it. However it ended with a line that I thought was pretty funny, but surprised that it made it on TV. The two brothers are drunk and being driven home in a cab. One has recently been thrown out of his home by his wife who has become a lesbian. The final line of the show is this brother saying, 'My wife a lesbian? How can that be? She's never enjoyed oral sex.' Vote 1 if you think the line is not acceptable for a TV show or vote 5 if you think it is. :) Chris Meech If you spin a Chinese person around, do they become dis-oriented? While, kids shouldn't be watching TV anyway. What's objectionable the lesbians or oral sex ? Both exist. I think violence on TV is far more harmful. Regardz Colin J Davies

Eastern people are usually a lot more sensitive about sex than you "westerners". I can't tell you how many good jokes involving sex I can't tell my colleagues because of that. :sigh:

It does not happen like that in most families here. Kids normally get info from friends :) Its not that sex is considered wrong or anything, but I dunno...
