I've used it before, on my name and in posts, but only in 'special' circumstances. Big fonts are just obviously anti-social. Christian As I learn the innermost secrets of the around me, they reward me in many ways to keep quiet. Men with pierced ears are better prepared for marriage. I was thinking *exactly* the same thing yesterday. I think it's cool that people find tricky ways of pushing the boards to do new and funky things (we are all programmers, after all). The bold/unbold is meant to be a design style though so maybe it would be worth merely pulling all <b> tags (which would then cause Michael to use <string tags, which would then escalate to <style='font-weight:super-duper-really-dark-bold;'> tags) cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

I know it was nice and cool to use it when it turned up, but as a reader I more and more dislike that some users use e.g. boldface to display their names in the postings. Since the font is bold your eyes are drawn towards it, and when most of such posters comments are not interesting, their names (and therefore posts) still stand out and are just annoying. Am I the only one thinking this, or are there more people that think it's drawing away attention? I won't mention any names, but the last "The Lounge" page I looked at had over 1/3 boldface names. Would anyone (except the ones using those fonts) mind if we got back to use ordinary fonts in the subject lines? /Mike

I know it was nice and cool to use it when it turned up, but as a reader I more and more dislike that some users use e.g. boldface to display their names in the postings. Would anyone (except the ones using those fonts) mind if we got back to use ordinary fonts in the subject lines? /Mike

What's the big deal? Now, font size changes and marquee stuff is pretty ugly, but a polite (or not-so-polite) comment will probably take care of that. I think my green is pretty stylish :suss: -John
I agree that certain tags should be off limits due to common sense - nobdy wants to see ten messages all like: David Wulff I think my green is pretty stylish You can't change that - it's the only way I can tell your messages from the other John's, and thus reply politely.
