We get ready to have a few terrorist cells become active in the West, likely in the US and UK I'd guess. :(

Yeah... that's the way they will respond to the attacks... but what else could the allies (that sounds like WWII) do?? The Taliban were defying the US, and just wouldn't turn in Bin Laden... but what else could the allies (that sounds like WWII) do?? Nothing. This is the only course of action that has any reasonable chance of being successful, and we as the world have to be up to the fight. David

Friday I was talking to my vet about this. He was saying the report to the congress was that if we attacked then it would cause them to attack us again. Of course, what people fail to realize in the big picture is that they would have attacked us again no matter what. Tim Smith Descartes Systems Sciences, Inc.

Yeah, I agree... as it has been discussed several times in here, if we attacked, they would attack us... if we didn't attack they would see it as if we were afraid, and simply attack us again... -- LuisR -------- Luis Alonso Ramos Chihuahua, Mexico www.luisalonsoramos.com

I don't think they will be able to do anything. Afghan vs Super Powers. They are preparing their citizens for a jihad but what will they do, attack us riding in camels. They barely have enough food and money to survive on their own, so they will never be able to sustain a war.

Every single terrorist related to Bin Laden will become active... But I don't think it will be major terrorism acts (ok, a bombing or two in here, car bomb over there, but no planes flying into buildings - I sincerly hope at least). -- LuisR -------- Luis Alonso Ramos Chihuahua, Mexico www.luisalonsoramos.com

Ah Chris, I'm sure they're not interested in 11,000+ of the key people building the IT infrastructure of the west collecting in the center of the US's propaganda machine (Los Angeles), come on now. :) I think by and large we over-estimating their capabilitiwes it took them 4 years to plan the WTC hit, I doubt they've been planning to hit PDC 2001 since 1997. Something's going to happen, but I admit I do put some faith in 7000+ FBI agents to keep it to something smaller than weapons of mass destruction. David

I did agree with the fact that the 'terrorists' would have tried something again regardless of the fact anything was done in retaliation. They had pretty much said that in saying it was their duty to fight the infidels. Its really quite sad when someone uses religion as an excuse for their own hatred when most religions try and teach tolerance and love of others bla bla bla. But religion, like Notradamus, can be twisted to make whatever you wish of it to those who want to justify their own ideas. Giles

And they (terrorists) would still strike again and again whether we did anything or not in response. The weaker we act, the more we will be attacked. WillCodeForMoney
