The latest virus available is called "Windows XP", and you have to buy it. Sheesh! The nerve! To hell with those thin-skinned pillow-biters. - Me, 10/03/2001

10/03/2001 That's another reason I hate Americans. You take a perfectly logical date format "day-month-year" and tie it in knots so you have the month before the day? How is that at all logical? Would you say I'll pick you up tonight at 55:12? If you must have the month before the day, then please have the decency to put the year before that ("year-month-day"). That would be understandable. Next thing you know Americans will start using the Imperial system...

It actually makes sense when you think about how you would say the date. We don't say "3rd October, 2001", it's "October 3rd, 2001". So the numeric date just follows the same month-day-year format. Of course, it could be that we say dates that way as a result of how we format the numbers and not the other way around. In which case you have a valid point there. :)

Well, come to think of it. When I am ask for my date of birth (by some wanker as a form of identification) I always say 16th November 1968 and never November 16th 1968. though from school I think we were taught to say November 16th 1968. Anyway at the end of the day day-month-year is correct as is the metric system. Which neither the US or UK can umnderstand. :-D Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. It's coming along fine. The hardest part which was drawing Bob in various different positions - by hand (or mouse ;)) - is now complete, so I can get on with completing the scenes and tweaking the sound effects so they fit in with the background music. It kind of reminds me of the Bevis and Butthead cartoons - crap drawing and animation, but it still 'works'.

Well really it should be year-month-day to make sorting easier... (and it is more common sense to go from most significant to least significant [big endian... or have I got that the wrong way round...], unless you are Intel of course...) Have fun, Paul Westcott.

My collegue just scanned her computer a moment ago, she felt it was getting slow: 78 infected files including SIRCAM, CIH and other Trojan viruses, at least 5 different ones! Want some? :-)
