Hi, never posted before, probably never will again. Love this site for it's great code examples, and cheesy chat topics in the lounge. Just got back home from an *interesting* oktoberfest at the showgrounds. If you're in or have been to Melbourne, you may know that of which I speak. Yes, but then she'd later on become Mrs Kangaroo anyway (assuming she finds a handsome young Kangaroo prince for herself). And she can continue liking the cheese even after her marriage.

I'm flying out on 11th November from Heathrow. I should be in hospital for about 8 days, starting on the 13th November. After that I'll be in the Mercure Hotel in Chonburi for a week or so and (recovery permitting) thereafter the Royal Twin Palace in Pattaya. I should have some limited email/net access once I get out of the hospital, but where I can't get access to email, I'll be keeping in touch with friends via txt. Much as it would be real fun, I'm afraid I won't be in any state to consider a detour to India. I'm reliably informed that this is going to hurt. :sigh: After I get back into the UK in mid December I'll be staying with a friend near Sandwich (Kent) for about 3 weeks, before returning home around New Year. I'll be home for about a fortnight before flying out for part 2 (facial feminisation surgery[^]) on 18th January. I'll do my best to keep in touch while I'm away, but I'm not likely to be posting much (coding is going to be the last thing on my mind, after all!). If I'm not saying anything on CP, keep an eye on my journal. :) All in all, this is going to be quite an experience. I've never even been a hospital patient before, so undergoing such major surgery is pretty daunting. Fortunately, major complications are rare and the surgeon I'm going to is one of the best.
