Hi there, I am not here to show off or what. I am buying a new comp soon. I am considering 2 cards at the moment as i had a very low budget. ATI Radeon 9700 VS Nvidia GeForceFX 5900 - which one is better? I am looking in term of performance and graphics rendering.. which one can support more 3d features esp Directx 9. Which card provides more stability? I am using this card for games, games dev and 3d rendering (softimage or lightwave). And last question, if i am buying ATI Radeon 9700 card, what brand should i go for? The orginal ATI manufactured is far too expensive. I heard of sapphire. Any other recommendations? I know there are some brands which are not good. Thanks. Regards, Chua Wen Ching :p

A co-worker just bought an All-in-Wonder 9800 for a great price and loves it. (The local Circuit City had priced it at the same price as a regular 9800 and didn't care.) Incidentally, I'd either wait for the ATI 9700 XT or go with the ATI 9800, if you can get a good deal. The 3 ATI cards I have had have been more stable long term than the couple Nvidia cards. I will note however I have only had cheaper NVidia cards, none of the GeForce. "For as long as I can remember, I have had memories. Colin Mochrie."
