I'm not afraid to admit it - I watch South Park. Can you name any other programs on TV that have somewhat conservative viewpoints and make fun of the truly stupid things in life?! Finally, the long-awaited has happened. They finally poke fun at cry-babies with too much money. That's right...recording artists (not all, though). Kyle, Stan, and Kenny got busted by the FBI for downloading a couple songs. They didn't think it was a big deal, but the FBI agent took them to recording artists' mansions and showed them how Lars Ulrich (a childhood idol of mine - no more) of Metallica couldn't afford to get his gold-plated shark tank this month because of file sharing. And the obvious continues. They go on strike to protect their "band" and the others join them, till finally the three children realize it's about the music and end their strike. The other artists claim they're in it for the money - not the music or the fans. It couldn't be further from the truth. So, if any of you cry-babies saw South Park on your 200" HDTV-ready plasma TVs...GET A CLUE! Who's with me!

It was a great episode. My favorite part was when Cartman realized that, even though his Christian rock album sold over a million copies, he could never win his bet with Kyle because, at the particular recording studio they were at, platinum = mir.:) Brad Jennings Sonork: 100.36360 AIM: hongg99

I read about that a few days ago. I doubt it'll make waves though, since Pearl Jam lost a lot of the public eye with Vedder's antics (while I agree with them, the evil overlord known as RIAA doesn't). The media doesn't follow it because they are corrupt. RIAA and MPAA are corrupt. The congressmen they have in their pockets are corrupt. It's all about pleasing each other and don't think for a minute that they aren't in bed with one another. Why do you think congress the other day passed a law against file trading, allowing the FBI to knock down your door instead of RIAA just sending you a subpeona. It's just pisses me off to no end. The government doesn't work for the people anymore - it works for organizations like RIAA and the MPAA and, to boot, they continue to give themselves raises each year while John and Joan America are out on their asses without suitable jobs. Sorry, not dissing on you. It's just that replying to why the media hasn't followed it got me in a tissy. See? I told you it pisses me off to no end! :)
