Hi I changed to Firebird yesterday. And when I logged on the Lounge I get this message: Hint: For a faster board use IE 4+ or Mozilla, choose 'Dynamic' from the View dropdown and hit 'Set Options'. The problem is, with Firebird there is no Dynamic option (Ive tested with IE, and I have it there). Any one else having this problem? Or do I have to go back to IE again. //Magnus

Good for you :jig: You need to fool codeproject that you are a different browser by changing the User Agent String. go here[^] and download/install the User Agent Switcher extension for firebird. Once you have done that, use it to add a new Agent String Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Name it Mozilla 1.5 if you want because thats what it fakes. See the plugins page. There is a popular one that allows you to change the user agent string that is sent to the server. Firebird can handle dynamic view but you need to change the user agent to either be the previous Firebird user agent or another user agent string - like IE4+.

Doesn't work for me. I confirmed the UA string works by visiting: http://www.codeproject.com/script/misc/browsercheck.asp And sure enough it reports: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Still no Dynamic view option though. I am still on Firebird 0.6.1. :( :(

I'm on Firebird 0.7 and it works Ok.;P Do you have the Tabbrowser extension installed as well, if so try disabling it. I found that it interfered somehow with the User string. I've subsequently upgraded Tabbrowser to the latest version 1.92 and it seems to fix the conflict:cool: John Hudson Megan Forbes after having cage slightly rattled: Grrrrrrr....:baaaa!: humbug I say!:omg: JohnJ makes a note to wear protective clothing/goggles next time;P http://www.rainbow-innov.co.uk[^]

Glad to have helped... Now if we can just kick Chris:wtf: to fix "Preview" and Smiley addition we won't have to resort to IE like all the other :baaaa!: John Hudson Megan Forbes after having cage slightly rattled: Grrrrrrr....:baaaa!: humbug I say!:omg: JohnJ makes a note to wear protective clothing/goggles next time;P http://www.rainbow-innov.co.uk[^]
