Personally, if I have any children I would name them after my ancestors at least in part. Maybe a new first name, but second names would certainly be parents/grandparents first names. After all, we should remember where we come from. When I was really serious with a lady who is still a friend (although we never really got together :((), we discussed it in passing and she was on the same footing as me. My dad wanted to name me "Huw Abvrach" (which I think is the correct spelling) but my mum wouldn't let him. I happen to like it and wouldn't have objected. But since enough people (especially Americans) have enough difficulty with the pronounciation of my surname I think it would have added to the general confusion of booking hotel rooms etc. --Colin Mackay--

Mr Evans told BBC News Online one reason for the popularity of brands as names is a growing desire on the part of parents to mark their children out as different. Great, let's mark ourselves out as unique, just like everyone else  Paul ;)
