Because used notes have been in circulation and is then not likely tracable. Think about it. Blackmailer asks for a large amount of money. They want it fast, in small notes. Would you be able to catalog each note during the stipulated time frame? Let's say a million notes? If you get a fresh pack of notes straight out of the factory, they'll be ordered as a freshly sorted array. :) -- Must I be the meat in an imbecill sandwich?

I'd imagine, since the term originated in a pre DNA testing world, that it reflected a pious hope that fingerprints couldn't be authorative if lifted from a 'used' note. I imagine the same concern applies in the modern world. Hint for IP v7 - include DNA samples in the packet :) Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net "I killed him dead cuz he was stepping on my turf, cutting me out of my bling the same way my ho cuts cookies, officer" "Alright then, move along" - Ian Darling, The Lounge, Oct 10 2003

has anyone noticed that this time around it's an account with a profile? I thought I had read a profile last night and now I know I'm not dreaming. How interesting then that it shows 6 messages posted but clicking on that link only shows 2 messages. No criticism of Chris - it's obvious that 4 messages have been deleted... hmmmm 4 of 6 messages deleted? Doesn't say much for the intellectual honesty of the individual... Since the dots are called "umlauts" in fancy pancy nomenclature, ö becomes ö in HTML lingo. A capital Ö is Ö. Similarly ä is ä. It seems that someone who worked with SGML/HTML had their head screwed on right (good entity names). :) -- Must I be the meat in an imbecill sandwich?

Good night US Marine. It's very very late here in Arizona and it's time I hit the sack. I'll be awake about 11 AM Arizona time, 1 PM New York time and 5 AM Australian East Coast time. Please don't disappoint me. I want to find a thread on the Soapbox pointing to three websites. The first website should say that I'm gay. The second that I beat my wife. And the third that I'm a shameless illegal immigrant who ought to be deported instantly. Were you to disappoint me I'd be crushed and humiliated here on CodeProject. So don't let me down ok, lover :) Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net "I killed him dead cuz he was stepping on my turf, cutting me out of my bling the same way my ho cuts cookies, officer" "Alright then, move along" - Ian Darling, The Lounge, Oct 10 2003
