PPC Phone w/Wi-Fi??
-
I've had my Toshiba e740 for a while now. I've always said that I'll upgrade when a PocketPC Phone Edition PDA hits the streets with integrated Wi-Fi. One of my buddies swears he's seen one, but my Googling hasn't turned up much. Anyone seen any of these? Chris

I would quite like one of those new Samsungs or Motorola's clamshell style phones but they don't do them over here - yet. Personally the Pocket PC phones are way to big. Its like going back 10 years in terms of size. Saying that all these new photo messaging phones and video phones are huge! Can't possibly fit in your pocket. I've got the IPaq 5440 (I think thats the number). Its got built in 802.11b and very nice it is too, for browsing the news, though completely unusable for posting on CP, unless I had a keyboard.

But for web browsing, Pocket Word, Remote Desktop, and the like, I need screen size that no "cell phone" can provide. I guess I look at the whole thing a little differently. Right now I tote around my LG VX10 and my e740, so rather than seeing a device like the rumored HP iPaq 6000 as a large cell phone, I see it as a means to carry 1 device rather than 2.

I suppose what would be good is something like a pocket PC, that can sit in your coat pocket, and then another much smaller earpiece / handset that could speak to the PC via blue tooth or something, using the Pocket PC as a kind of router base station.
