Snow!

It has been snowing hard here for the last 5 hours. Must have at least 4 to 5 inches by now. What a fun drive home:(

There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idots. Can we expect any photos? :) Snow is just such a weird concept for me. At least in and around your normal living area. I have to drive two hours and then hike another 5 before I can get to snow, and that was a freakish winter, normally much further away. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Brian Welsch wrote: "blah blah blah, maybe a potato?" while translating my Afrikaans. Poor Paul - you really haven't lived yet!:-D How fondly I remember waking at 3AM to shovel the driveway and remove 3' of fresh snow from my truck, just so that I could be on my way to the airport at 5AM to catch a plane for someplace even colder. And the joy I felt, standing in the shower at 4:30 AM and listening to the sound of the snowplow rumbling past my house, burying my freshly cleared drive under 6 feet of ice is indescribable. I miss it so...:sigh: "Your village called -

Under all that snow it looks like a lovely place to live :)

There are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idots.I know snow must suck if you live in it but living in Florida that looks like fun. A bad winter in Florida means you have to wear long sleeve shirt TWICE instead of just once.

Now they have 10+ acres of wooded land and purchased a 12hp brush machine with a snowblower attachment. So he goes out and starts it up. It starts picking up all of the new gravel with the snow and blowing it into the woods. He was not to happy having to shovel the drive by hand. On a better note: My daughter had snow at her school. It has been a long time since she saw any. She said the whole floor was going crazy. Now this is south east Texas! So many had never seen it before. Since it had been 27C the day before so nothing stuck. :( :) "For as long as I can remember, I have had memories. Colin Mochrie."

I found that I could effortlessly shovel about 500' per quart - sometimes I volunteered to do other driveways just to make up the 500'. Don't those machines have a depth setting? I would think he could set it to cut the thickness to around 1", then use dark-colored gravel to do the rest in daylight. It's a lot safer than salt, and probably cheaper. "Your village called -
