Is there a way (an option in configuration, an add-in, etc.) to make Outlook compress images before sending them? I send a lot of images with screenshots every day and I send them in BMP format. They don't go outside my company's LAN, but anyway... "Gods die, when their believers are gone." --from Sandman by Neil Gaiman

Open them with paint and save as GIFs, but be careful about the compression level as this can corrupt colours. The alternative is to use Winzip or something similar but then they must be unzipped at the other end. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

I know that. And I prefer PNG, BTW. However, I am sending A LOT of them, so I would like just to hit Print Screen, press Crtl+V and let Outlook do the rest. "Gods die, when their believers are gone." --from Sandman by Neil Gaiman

If I rememeber correctly, Outlook 2003 will offer to compress images for you. If you don't use Outlook 2K3, but have WinZip, you can try their Outlook plugin. It allows you to Attach+ZIP in one shot. Not exactly what you were looking for (the images will be in a zip file) but might solve the problem nevertheless. -Oz --- Grab WndTabs from http://www.wndtabs.com to make your VC6 experience that much more comfortable...

That would do the trick, but e-mails are still more convenient. 1. I work as a tester and an e-mail is a proof that I reported a bug. 2. I can do something like this: ----------------------------- Some text... [a picture] More text... [another picture] ... ----------------------------- "Gods die, when their believers are gone." --from Sandman by Neil Gaiman
