 We got our Christmas bonus today. :-D We have little tradition at work for our Christmas bonus. A little bell on a rope gets handed out with the check, and everyone has to walk around the rest of the day with their bell on their neck. It feels a little goofy, but its funny. Any traditions at your work, during holidays or any other time?

If it was me, the cheque would go in the bank and the bell would go straight in the bill. Not yet a tradition, but this year the office is doing a 'Kris Mouse' thing. The idea is you pick names and (keeping your mouse secret on pain of death) surprise them with little giftoids for 9 days (we start monday) then on the 10th day we all have a lunch together and guess our Mouses and give a final gift. System requrements: A social minded receptionist who 'must be obeyed'. More than 2 people in the office. (we roped in have 23) Time to find a dollar store. (Note: Canadians may substitute a $1.49 store) Anybody else done this? Any potentially life threatening political consequences to be aware of? Any ideas on giftoids? The person I picked just does't seem the type to be happy with a new Pez every day...

Hey thanks - ya know, I was thinking it would be fun to find a nice wooden block puzzle type thingy and leave it on his desk a piece at a time. This link may help that idea along...

I've had the urge to Moo on several occasions today. Michael P Butler wrote: What happened to dignity? No comprende.

We have the Area Potluck! All of the software development groups in this building participate, so it's maybe 300 or more people strong. Lots of yummy stuff. And volunteers typically get to be first in the line, and often receive a "Thank you" e-mail from the VP in charge of software development. So guess who signs up as volunteer every year. I'm bringing German Chocolate cake in case anyone was wondering. :) No single raindrop believes that it is responsible for the flood.
