Hi: Anyone doomed to use this software? Maybe someone can share it´s experience....because i lost 2 days on this. Any idea why i´m getting the "Failed to detect the iVasion adapter" on my friend´s W2K machine. The adapter is properly installed but i´m still getting the message. The DSL provider´s support guy answer was "format the drive and reinstall", but i´m trying to use it after a fresh install! WTF... Gabriel Old C programmers never die. They just cast into void

I hate WinPoet. Use Ethernet connection instead of USB.

I had this with verizon before I got my linksys router and it was a real pain. If you have a network connection you can pick up a linksys DSL router on ebay for < $40 and then you do not have to use the WinPoet software and you can connect as many pcs as you want to the same internet connection. Either upgrade to XP (PPPOE is built into it, no need for a 3rd party client app), or buy a router that supports PPPOE.
