Hard to say really, I don't drink because I want to savour a good malt, hop or vine. I never drink at home alone, just never seen the point. I guess I drink to loosen up, to have a good time, yes to get drunk. I have had brilliant times with mates in almost every concievable drinking environment. It has always been who I am with that has made the difference, not where we are. Saying that some of the best times were at a pool bar... but all those good times she was there, it was our hangout after a day of waiting tables. Certain places do lend themselves to different people though. Some mates I would never think of taking to the local dive, I go to a quiet coffee bar with them. Other mates I would feel silly going to a quiet coffee bar with, the dive is for them. With one girl it was fancy clubs and trendy bars only and another it was sneaking off to the beach at night or finding a quiet park to chill. So more the people than the place. I am easy, like I have said to Michael before. Very few drinks actually really taste very nice, a coca cola or straight orange juice will beat them anyday. A lot of people drink to be seen drinking, it's cool to have a martini in your hand and not a fanta pineapple. It's cultured to drink red wine, soda pop is for kids. When I go out for a meal, I have coke or lemonade. I don't order up a bottle of wine. I don't understand paying twice as much if all you want is to quench your thirst. What kind of drinking environment do you prefer? Local bar? Sports bar? At home? Jumping through a bonfire? Me? I'm a pretty easy person to please so I'll hang out just about anywhere but I prefer a sports bar on game days and a college bar the rest of the time because almost everybody there lives a fairly similar lifestyle to my own and drinks are usually cheaper. Bar and grill type places are pretty cool too but are a little too family oriented for a hangout. I like going to dance clubs too but they wear me out quickly (too much excitement). I prefer to do my drinking in a jacuzzi, surrounded by young, pliant females. But then I wake up, and have to settle for drinking in a neighborhood pub, with a grill, where I know everyone and like the selections on the jukebox. "Your village called -
