Sure the Russians sided with Saddam Hussein in the war. But since they aren't going to be profitting off of the demise of their buddy with rebuilding contracts they have hinted that they may force the new Iraqi govt. to pay off Saddam's debts. I'll bet France will also attempt to rape the free Iraq. So sad............

      1. No source noted. 2. Unneccessary use of the word 'rape' which really kind of devalues the actual crime of rape. 3. Idiotic, biased, unspecific conjecture. Post analysis: CRAP :-D

But there is a legally acceptable follower, who, by customs, is to take over the debt. Terry O`Nolley wrote: Attempting to transfer the debtto the newly freed Iraqi people a) it's the same people as before. They have not changed (yet), just their government chaos generator. Is this so hard to get? b) The debt is not transfered to the iraqui people, but to the new government. If the new government transfers this to the "newly freed Iraqui people", well, tough luck, If the US wants to subside only it's own companies with tax payers money, fine. If the european creditors agree to forget about the debt, fine. But asking for both is sick.
