Uh.. what are they doing with that thing in his mouth? -- Intellectualize my blackness[^]
- They are verifying he hasn't a hidden poison pill in the mouth. - They are preparing the hard version of "The US does Saddam". - They are inplanting a nuclear device in one of teeth in case of he tries to escape - His mouth smells like a dead pinguin, and they're cleaning the mess.

Congratulations. I still wonder where from the original DNA samples are. From Bushista handshakes, maybe?

Can't you just hear it - pick a quote: "Saddam must be tried by the Security Council and the US and Great Britian must recuse themselves", "Saddam must be tried in Geneva", Goofi Anan says, "something inane", "Saddam must be tried by the ICC", "Saddam can't be tried is some barbaric country that has the death penalty". Mike "liberals are being driven crazy by the fact that Bush is so popular with Americans, and thus by the realization that anyone to the left of center is utterly marginal." JAMES TRAUB NY Times Loyal member of the vast right wing conspiracy **"could a country (USA) letting one sixth of its population under the level of powerty be considered as civilized?"**KaЯl (France let 15,000 elderly die from summer heat)

I would think that the most important thing in terms of the future of Iraq is to have a trial that will provide massive and credible publicity to the crimes committed by the Saddam Hussein regime. This should be an educational exercise for Iraq and the broader Arab/Muslim world. Whether or not Saddam Hussein gets the death penalty is of trivial importance in the overall scheme of things. <Edit> It is the effect of his trial on the rest of the world that matters and for that reason the choice of tribunal must be made so as to maximise the educational effect on the rest of the world, not with a view to exacting the simplest, most clearly predetermined vengeance on him. </Edit> John Carson

10 years quicker than I'd expected, but a hearty congratulations to the Americans. A very nice Christmas present for George Bush, especially given Saddam's Santa look. But now is when it gets interesting. The resistance forces are bound to increase their attacks in a last throw of the dice, whilst the rest of the world waits for the "Trial of Saddam". Michael Snow is lying on the ground, and in the air the sleigh bells sound, The frosted patterned window panes, it's British summer time again. No, it's not, It's Christmas - Santa Claus in on the Dole (Spitting Image 1986)
Michael P Butler wrote: The resistance forces are bound to increase their attacks in a last throw of the dice, whilst the rest of the world waits for the "Trial of Saddam". The bad news about all of this is that Saddam sure as heck wasn't directing any anti-coalition activities from a hole in the ground. Who ever is doing that is still out there. Still, Saddam's capture should have a huge symbolic impact on at least the Baathist source of "Iraqi" resistence. Plus, you have to believe that Saddam will sing like a bird if he thinks he can gain advantage from it.

sounds good to me, especially the Iraqi representations, coalition representatives, Security Council representatives part. Unless observing means "being complimented out of the building when interrogation begins, but you'll receive a digest"
