In keeping with squeezing blood from a stone we close at lunchtime on Christmas eve. My friends back in the "Slowveld" couldn't believe it when I told them - they are mostly on holiday already :rolleyes:. Worse still, it sounds like Brendan will only get off at around 4pm on Christmas eve. I wonder what the roads up to Scotland will be like at that time :~ .

At home the road deaths climb steeply at those times of year, but certainly nobody I work with here seems to have any concerns about travelling next week.

Christmas holidays are very staggered, so you probably won't hit as much traffic as you would if it was a normal weekday. We'll see a rise in the number of drink/drive related accidents at this time of year, but that's usually on local roads not on motorways.
