I've been using Install Shield 5.1 for a few years now. I never used them because they were good, but because they were the best (IOW, I never liked any of them, but IS was the most widely used, so I went with it). Anyway, I just upgraded to IS Developer 7 and I've go to say that it is incredible. What a change from the crappy interface in IS5. Almost everything is thought of and organized in an intuitive manner. I don't know if IS6 looked anything like this, but IS7 is worth the upgrade if you ask me. As I look back over this, I realize that it may sound like an advertisement, but it's just a little testimony from someone who has always hated building installs ;-) -Mike Stevenson God Bless America, God Bless the World News - Forum - Games - Comedy - Chat Click: http://www.USAvsAfghanistan.com

I also have to say "WOW". The prices are starting from $999. :(( This is really incredible. My favorite setup program is InnoSetup. Download it from www.innosetup.com It is free and I am sure that it would be enough even for a very complex project. Mustafa Demirhan

We just finished selecting a new install system, switched from ISPro5 to WfWI 3.52 (www.wisesolutions.com). I didn't like ISDev7. It tried to be toooooo helpful and shielded you from the MSI stuff. We found that the standard WfWI package did everything we needed. Tim Smith Descartes Systems Sciences, Inc.

How can a $3999 Installer be worse than a FREE intaller? :) Mustafa Demirhan
