Hey everyone, I am currently in the USA and I need a dial up ISP for free;P. Does anyone know of a company that offers free trials of their service for a limited amount of time.:confused: The only catch is that I cannot use a credit card to sign up, so it would be preferred if there was a company that allowed this. Also it would be preferred if they offered a local call service for when you dial up so I do not get a massive phone bill at the end of my holiday to pay for. Thanks Tom:):)

While I don't condone the use of AOL, they recently (maybe longer, but like I pay attention to them) started giving 45-day trials without having to use a credit card and usually have local numbers that are locating by initially dialing an 800 (toll free) number. Go to http://www.aol.com[^] for more details.

I went to aol.com, clicked on the BIG image at the right that said free 45 days with NO CREDIT CARD REQUIRED and ended up here: http://free.aol.com/tryaolfree/[^]. Sure enough, it's not asking for a credit card. They take your address, so they most like verify it and send you a bill which you can opt to pay with a credit card.

Hmm...lying bastards. Isn't false advertising illegal? Anyway, sorry about that. I didn't fill out the form (like I said, I despise AOL) to go on to the next step. Sorry that didn't work out for you. Good luck!

If you are in the Pacific Northwest, or the New England area, you can try www.nocharge.com[^]. Last time I used them (2 years ago), you didn't need to use their dialer program. You can use Windows' built in dialer. They make their $ by charging you $10 for any tech support.

If all you need is to check email and casual surfing, just find a coffee shop with a WiFi connection. Also, if you are staying at a hotel, check to see if it has an internet connection.
