Yeah, stop bitching and make the most of it. Get 100%, write a fantastic VB app and help the rest of the class who may not be as brilliant (and jaded) as you. :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Brian Welsch wrote: "blah blah blah, maybe a potato?" while translating my Afrikaans. Make the best of it. Try to impress the teacher with your knowledge. I've had friends who (in non-programming courses...stuff like Auto CAD, drafting, etc.) impressed the teacher with their advanced knowledge, so the prof gave them more challenging projects and advanced stuff and let them be kind of a TA (teacher's assistant) to the rest of the class. Have fun with the projects given you. Obviously they're going to be pretty basic, but include some fun stuff in them that sets your project apart from the rest. I had an American Lit course last semester that I didn't think would be very fun at all. However, I had a great time in that class, learned a lot, and made some friends. So I wouldn't look at any class ('cept for maybe a frilly humanities class) with disdain...especially not if it involves computers. ;)

When I can talk about 64 bit processors and attract girls with my computer not my car, I'll come out of the closet. Until that time...I'm like "What's the ENTER key?" -Hockey on being a geek

Well, I am going to University of British Columbia(UBC). The course I am taking is mostly for business majors so most of the students don't have any experience in programming, so I can't blame the prof for going too slow. But what I don't like about his class is attendance is mandatory!!! On first day he said "Don't come to class late, or I will call security to accompany you out of class." There is no need to say he has a very thick chinese accent so it is very hard to understand him sometimes. David Stone wrote: Heh, I've never seen one of those in a programming class. It is an introductory so thats why some of the female species is there, too bad they all quit in the middle of the semester. Thanks for listening(reading) I guess I should have gotten that out of my chest! :)
