Thankfully it was probably calcium chloride or sodium silicate, both fairly benign chemicals but very hygroscopic. It must have tasted nasty, though... "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.

That is the word I was looking for, thanks. I could not find it so decided to swing the other way and use a close "opposite", hydrophobic. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "All Corvettes are red. Gerber announced today a New Product[^] intended to make baby's first weeks of weaning more interesting. Apologies if it doesn't open - my ISP seems to be experimenting with blocking server traffic.:(( "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.

:laugh::laugh: Remember the 60's- 70's ads, depicting a bald guy with an obvious hangover, dropping two tablets in a glass of water and saying, "Oh, Alka-Seltzer, please don't fizz..."? Hopefully your stepdad can laugh about it now, but I'm sure it wasn't a bit funny at the time...:-D "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.

I think we might have had different ads. I don't remember an ad like that (but then, I have a book with me when watching TV, on come the ads I'm reading :) ) Roger Wright wrote: I'm sure it wasn't a bit funny at the time... It was for me :) Speaking as a man who enjoys a wine or seven, I have no sympathy for those afflicted with hangovers. Been there, done that and and I know it's self inflicted. I probably have less sympathy than the army does for someone who shoots themselves in the foot in order to escape the front. It was probably the second thing I've received in email that I bothered to print. The little guy's expression is absolutely priceless. Somebody with a whole lot more talent than I have spent a lot of time making it just right. I think I laughed for ten minutes before I could gain enough control to 'Save picture as..." I know it's mean, but damn that was fun to see!:-D "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.

Yep! This verb has other meanings (as "to sheaf" or "to stack") , but "to puke" is probably the most common in the popular language
