Thankfully it was probably calcium chloride or sodium silicate, both fairly benign chemicals but very hygroscopic. It must have tasted nasty, though... "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.

:laugh::laugh: Remember the 60's- 70's ads, depicting a bald guy with an obvious hangover, dropping two tablets in a glass of water and saying, "Oh, Alka-Seltzer, please don't fizz..."? Hopefully your stepdad can laugh about it now, but I'm sure it wasn't a bit funny at the time...:-D "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.
I think we might have had different ads. I don't remember an ad like that (but then, I have a book with me when watching TV, on come the ads I'm reading :) ) Roger Wright wrote: I'm sure it wasn't a bit funny at the time... It was for me :) Speaking as a man who enjoys a wine or seven, I have no sympathy for those afflicted with hangovers. Been there, done that and and I know it's self inflicted. I probably have less sympathy than the army does for someone who shoots themselves in the foot in order to escape the front. Somebody with a whole lot more talent than I have spent a lot of time making it just right. I think I laughed for ten minutes before I could gain enough control to 'Save picture as..." I know it's mean, but damn that was fun to see!:-D "Another day done - All targets met; all systems fully operational; all customers satisfied; all staff keen and well motivated; all pigs fed and ready to fly" - Jennie A.
Uh huh :) I got some strange looks from my wife when I clicked on the link and started laughing :) Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net **Paul Watson wrote:**What sense would you most dislike loosing? Yep! This verb has other meanings (as "to sheaf" or "to stack") , but "to puke" is probably the most common in the popular language
