Looking for a download manager
-
I'd like a download manager that allows me to queue up downloads, allows me to specify the number of downloads to be simultaneously be done and support for resuming paused downloads. Ideally I want one that can cope with password protected files, but also one that doesn't have a reputation of spy ware. Willing to pay, so it doesn't need to be freeware. What does everybody else use? Michael But you know when the truth is told, That you can get what you want or you can just get old, Your're going to kick off before you even get halfway through. When will you realise... Vienna waits for you? - "The Stranger," Billy Joel

I found it to be buggy and unstable, especially when dealing with password protected files, and it rarely managed to remember the download queue when it was exited and restarted. DAP[^] DAP is a very good download accelerator that I personally use. I have vesion 5 though, so I don't know how goog the latest version is. There's both a free and pay version of DAP. I believe the pay version only gives you extra switched or something like that though. I hope its what you're looking for.

I have to say my favorite is download mage - www.dlmage.com. It's shareware, but worth the cheap registration fee.
