      Well, simply put CLR is slow. On the contrary VM is...slow. :laugh:

        What two approaches? CLR is a VM with JIT.;P

          I'm assuming that by VM you actually mean JVM, the Java Virtual Machine. Well, these two are quite similar - both provide unified data type system, garbage collection, intermediate language etc. However, there also differences - you can find lots of relevant info at Developmentor's DOTNET listserv.
