I just wake up sometimes in a really sour mood. Things that put a burr under my saddle today: - Everybody flailing around over XP - The abuse of the Most Helpful counter - Nish's user ID - The state of the world as a whole - Facing the possibility that I'm simply fed up with the industry as a whole - News media that can't find anything decent to report on There's probably more, but I'm in too bad of a mood to think about it any more. To hell with those thin-skinned pillow-biters. - Me, 10/03/2001

Well, let me add more ... - The weather is boring - Someone actually believes that .NET works - [you know who] is going to post another C# article ...

        - Someone actually believes that .NET works I reckon it will work and work damned well. It won't be the only player in the game though. So far I am enjoying using VS.NET and the whole framework makes a lot more sense than the jumble of components that came before. my 2cents regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge "In other words, the developer is dealing with an elephant, the accountant is dealing with a bunny rabbit." by Stan Shannon - 16/10/2001

Hello John, I didn't mean to offend you.... I guess you have the right to dislike something without needing a reason.. I shouldn't have asked you, I guess. But since it was my nick,I felt like asking. That's all. I have been using that nick since my IRC chatting days in college. That's why I use it. I also registered my domain under busterboy.org. regards Nish

I just wake up sometimes in a really sour mood. Things that put a burr under my saddle today: Just sometimes? ;) - Everybody flailing around over XP God even our local newspaper had a whole article on the release of XP. They had to flesh it out by re-discussing MS's antitrust cases. I have never seen a bunch of 0's and 1's be so extensively covered as this, very strange. - The state of the world as a whole Yeah well, what can you do about it? Just carry on being John Simmons and we won't be worse for wear, might even be stimulated and enriched. :) - Facing the possibility that I'm simply fed up with the industry as a whole Crumbs I am only 21 and already sick of the industry. I think it is the same in most industries though, no greener pastures over the hill or around the mountain. State of the world.. capitalism, retirement, cycle of city-life. - News media that can't find anything decent to report on XP, Afghanistan, Anthrax... repeat, rehash, flesh out, get in a new "expert", give more stats on how long a cruise missile is... repeat, rehash, flesh out... :-X Find a new hobby John, become a politician maybe, or a green beret :-D regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge "In other words, the developer is dealing with an elephant, the accountant is dealing with a bunny rabbit." by Stan Shannon - 16/10/2001

I was being sarcastic - you have to pay attention to ALL of the threads on CP in which I might have participated in order to understand some of the references (the current poll about XP where Anders says I hate XP for no reason). Yup I am from Trivandrum, India. Trivandrum is India's southern most city and is the capital of the state of Kerala. A lot of people think all Indians speak Hindi. Its funny how wrong that can be. Here in Trivandrum the native tongue is 'malayalam'. I know as much hindi as I know greek or spanish. But english is my favorite language. I am a sort of writer too. :-) Nish

Thanks! I wasn't trying to be on his good side. But I wanted to apologize for offending him somehow with my nick-name. Somehow, I always find that I unintentionally offend people :-( Nish

                                          Never apologize - it's a sign of weakness. To hell with those thin-skinned pillow-biters. - Me, 10/03/2001
