I tried Max Payne recently and must say, though it's fairly one dimensional, the graphics are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. On the same note, I must say I also tried NOLF (No One Lives Forever) and found that it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Most gaming magazines almost called it similar to Half-Life. Hah! I've been playing Operation Flashpoint every waking hour that I haven't been sleeping or coding or working. OH MY GOD. What a beautiful game. Just got into internet multiplayer the other day; I thought my addiction was bad BEFORE! There's something sweet about capture the flag... when you hop in a chopper (one of 30 fully operatable vehicles) and swing up on their base and roast their whole air force while it's sitting on the ground. At the $60 I payed for it... it is *well* worth it. If you're looking for a game built with realism in mind from the ground up (literally), get this game. The first thing you'll notice is that when one bullet kills, you're going to start keeping your head down :) But you'll be surprised again and again the more you play this game. For example, I thought it was buggy after the first time I was shooting my M16. I thought the samples cut each other out because the birds stopped singing. But no, they were just scared of the gunfire. I lay on the grass for a little while and sure enough, they slowly started singing again :) Addiction alert! :omg: -Jason

Myst 3 : Exile, I enjoy those sort of games, and graphics in it are pretty good. But I also enjoy a good FPS for some instant gratification :) I took Max Payne back to the store twice because the damn CD was scratched :( (turns out that their whole batch was like that, don't ask me how :confused: )

Oh man Worms is just a riot. Having four friends huddled around one computer watching a sheep bomb trot over to an enemy just rocks. I have not laughed so hard in a game as I have laughed in Worms. Kamikazi rules! What is it like so far Stephen? When I first heard about Empire Earth on GameSpot it sounded really awesome. Only problem is that I do not have a 3d graphics card so I could not sign up for the beta. Shogun : Total War A nice blend of boardgame mechanics (think RISK/Diplomacy) with real-time combat. :-D

Did I mention I have the Beavis & Butthead sound set and someone else spent an afternoon creating one for Monty Python and the Holy Grail ? Sheep bomb? The funniest weapon of mass destruction you have ever seen. Imagine a pockmarked battlefield. Worms to the left, worms to the right, even worms udnerneath you! Some worms lie lurking near a tunnel entrance. You skip past your bazooka, chain gun, dynamite, kamakazie, banana bomb till you reach *gasp* the sheep bomb. A cute looking furry white critter of a sheep. You hurl it, it bounces tither and hither. Each mound it hits it bounces back, bleating as it goes. Eventually it finds the entrance to the tunnel. Worms shreak, your enemy screams in denial. Then *boom!* the sheep explodes killing all within range. It is hilarious. You have got to play the game John. With your sick sense of humour and love of goats you will can yourself silly playing this game. I have not played the new Worms World Party. I am from the old school "huddle around one computer" Worm playing community ;) You are dead right though. No other game so effectively encourages you to find the funniest, biggest and most ludicrous way of revenging the death of one of your worms. Hence why I die laughing every time I use kamikazie. for Monty Python and the Holy Grail ? :omg: that must be funny. I have not played Worms World Party. Back in high school though we used to play the original Worms and Worms 2. Good fun. Maybe ask Christian about those questions. Otherwise you can find out about the game here at the official Worms World Party site. (turn down your speakers as the menus have a loud voiceover!) Apparently it also has internet play as well so you can challenge Chris to a death match and see if he is man errr worm enough. Be warned the humour is quite british and the voice overs are also british. I might just buy a 3D card though expressly for the upcoming World Of Warcraft which sounds, and looks, stunning. Alas I have not spent the neccesary cash on 3D graphics cards to stay up to date. But if I had I would love to try out Anarchy Online right now. Sounds like good fun. I am playing Alpha Centauri and Revenant at the moment. I am in a cash crunch and so I'm playing and finishing all the old games that I never got around to finishing. I know it's kind of dated, but I am still playing Unreal Tournament online. I've gotten pretty good at it lately too. I also play Quake III Arena but it's kind of lame compared to Unreal.
