My (first and) last posting of the day before I go home :) BBC Quiz: Are you a cynic?: Link[^] I'm very suprised by my results. I though I was right up there with Victor Meldrew (in cynism, not age!)

    You're really only a second-rate cynic. Actually, you aren't
cynical as much as world weary, and sometimes you have a point.
One thing though - laughing at children isn't nice.

Same here, although I think the results might be skewed (I'm an American, after all, and the test was clearly targeted at citizens of the U.K.).

Same here. But that's because I'm an advanced cynic, that thinks all those "I'm cynic" guys are just loosers who should get a life, preferrably one that is not paid for by others. And I'm a wild believer in the better side of the human being, just as a principle.

I got the same. But, I never laughed at the children in any of the questions and it said I did! Not Fair! :(( Waaaaaaaaaahhh!

Does being cynical at the worth of the quiz make me the winner ? Seriously, if you KNOW you're being tested for cynicism, you need to be asked less obvious questions, where you can't actually SEE how each possible answer will directly affect your final score. It's like an 'are you an idiot' quiz where all the questions are basic math. do you want to be told you're an idiot, or not ? Choose the answers to get the response you want. Wow, "You're a top grade cynic - in fact you've turned cynicism into an art form. You greet almost every piece of news with sneering contempt. Loosen up a bit." And I thought I was only a moderate cynic. :omg: I have a symbiotic relationship with my computer.

I didn't see the answers I wanted to give to several questions, so a bit of a waste. The tigress is here :-D
