Or any version on a Mac), and I switched to IE because it was a less buggy piece of crap, which eventually became usable.

Wow, I guess the down-voters never used Netscape 4 (And that's 4.0, not 4.7, which was the 4.x version that actually worked consistently) on any platform - because if they had done they would agree with me - Netscape 4.0 took what was a reasonable web browser (3.0), and made a complete hash of it. IE OTOH, was OK at 3.0 (although Netscape 3.0 was arguably better), and made something really quite good for 4.0 onwards. And it's taken the Netscape code base years to get beaten back into something resembling a decent browser (Mozilla).

That was funny the first time I heard it in 1995. --Mike-- Personal stuff:: Ericahist | Homepage Shareware stuff:: 1ClickPicGrabber | RightClick-Encrypt CP stuff:: CP SearchBar v2.0.2 | C++ Forum FAQ ---- Kosh reminded me of some of the prima-donna programmers I've worked with. Knew everything but when you asked them a question; never gave you a straight answer. -- Michael P. Butler in the Lounge
