Your still paying WAYY less than half of what the rest of us in the world are paying. God I'm sick of Americans whining about the cost of gas. It's your choice of lifestyle, try to live with it in dignity.

That's not expensive enough. The higher the price will be, the more efforts will be made to save energy.

I totally agree !! All of those people who have whinged about your post are totally out of touch. It doesn't matter if gas costs a lot in europe as they don't use much. But in the US it's important, if we could get the US gas price down I'm sure Americans could use more of it, and thus reduce ythe world supply faster. This of course would be good, because the faster we run out globally, the less chance of pollution there will be. Regardz Colin J Davies

We Americans live in a pretty spacious country that I think necessitates alot of driving. Therefore, a bike is not an option for many of us that don't like city livin'. The smaller car works though. Unfortunately, a small car doesn't stand a chance if hit by an SUV (or an 18-wheeler which outnumber the cars where I live).

Actually, statistics show that smaller cars are much safer. Sure, they lose in a head on collision, but are much more stable and manuveralbe. So the odds of staying on the road are much greater. "In the final analysis, secularism is little more than another religion the first amendment should be protecting the American people against."
