Can somebody please explain, what that "St Patricks Day" is? When I saw Bob in green I checked the calendar - spring begins on 03/21, not on 03/16. What's up today?

IIRC, it has something to do with Leprechauns and drinking lots of beer. It's an Irish thing.

So it's all about "earning extra cash"... and then spending it on beer?

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland because he drove all the snakes out of Ireland (I think)

Coincidentally, I'm reading a novel today called The Last Rainbow which features a main character named Patricius. He is a young, fiery priest who spent some time in his youth as a slave and escaped, then was sent off to preach by his Bishop. The first tribe he encountered tossed him out, breaking his legs for good measure, and left him to die among a circle of stones on a hill. The Prydn (faerie) people found and rescued him, and over time he converted them to a form of Christianity. There seems to be a lot of parallels in the novel to St. Patrick's life. Will Build Nuclear Missile For Food - No Target Too Small

It can't be St. Patrick's Day yet, the google banner has not turned green.
