I'll be doing my first 10 miler in over 8 months, tomorrow morning. All in preparation for another half marathon on May 2. Congrats on the run and I hope I can sing the same tomorrow after my run. :) Chris Meech We're more like a hobbiest in a Home Depot drooling at all the shiny power tools, rather than a craftsman that makes the chair to an exacting level of comfort by measuring the customer's butt. Marc Clifton VB is like a toolbox, in the hands of a craftsman, you can end up with some amazing stuff, but without the skills to use it right you end up with Homer Simpson's attempt at building a barbeque or his attempt at a Spice rack. Good luck on the half. I may do the Dayton River Corridor Classic half marathon this fall. I've run it twice before, and had a really good time. The good vibes of the long distance, without the I'm-going-to-kill-the-bozo-who-talked-me-into-this that hits during mile 23 of a marathon :).

Thanks :-O. I've been running for ten years as of this spring. I'm currently trying to get my weight down below 200 lbs in time for my birthday in July. I'm tired of the extra bit of 'guttage' around my waist. 14.5 lbs to go... :sigh:

Wow! You're inspiring to think about getting back into 5K shape, it's been a while for me. Maybe once it starts warming up around here... Marcie http://www.codeproject.com

Most years I manage to get outside at least once a week. This year we've had enough snow, rain, cold temperatures, or some combination of them that it's pretty much kept me inside the whole time. Fortunately, spring (an e-flower garden: :rose::rose::rose::rose::rose: ) is coming :jig:. Keep us informed if you decide to run again; good luck!

I'm still waiting for the perfect temperature. I need at least 15C (I'm picky about weather). Until then, the treadmill will just have to do. :) -- Ich bin der böse Mann von Schweden.

Half marathons are just perfect for a good exercise. And you can feel the half marathon linger in your legs for at least 2 days. Does that count as masochism? :-D -- Ich bin der böse Mann von Schweden.

By that co-relation...does a full marathon last for 4 days then?? Yes it would be masochism specially if you are missing the athlete gene in your body...:-D Pia "Don't try to out-weird me, three eyes. I get weirder things than you in my breakfast cereal."
