Yikes! Take a peak at the support newsgroup: "MacAfee problems" "Sun JVM won't start" "Spybot S&D doesn't work" "SP2 kills my burner" "MS recovery console not working" "Zone alarm won't install" "ICQ Lite crashes" "PrintShop 20 breaks" "Norton AntiVirus won't update" "incompatibility with VirusScan 7.1" "Roxio problems" Wow, that's a lot of breaks! Goes to show how fragile software is today. Most of those programs I figured wouldn't work; anti-virus apps are incompatible with new security settings or firewall settings, firewall software has problems with the new MS firewall settings, and some networking apps like IMs stop working due to the firewall changes. I guess I wasn't expecting CD burning software to stop working though. I notice that it enforces the firewall. Infact I've knows this for sometime. The network repository at our office dies like a duck when we enable the firewall on XP. I have read somewhere that 100% ATL-Window apps will break, because the thunk it uses to redirect wndproc is now a heap violation. Not sure at the moment if WTL apps are also broken. Gotta love frameworks... ;-)
