Killing a 68 yrs old man in a wheel chair?

I for one am glad the old murderous bastard is dead. He had much innocent blood on his hands, regardless of his age or physical condition. The tactics employed by Israel may be heavy-handed, and they may leave a sour taste in many peoples mouths, but the majority of Israelis think the assasination of Yassin was a good thing and let's face it, they are in the firing line. I'm afraid that groups like Hamas only understand one thing - violence - and I think it's poor of many governments (including my own) to act as if Yassin was some kind of saint. His death should be welcomed and his successor should know they will soon be joining him. I will say this however - it is a very important point. Had the UK government adopted similar tactics to fight the IRA at the height of The Troubles - assasinating the likes of Gerry Adams, Martin McGuiness, etc. and bulldozing the houses of Catholic families related to terrorists - then we would of been total fucking pariahs in the eyes of the world - especially to the USA. The Palestinians need to take a leaf out of Ghandis book and adopt mass non-violent protest. The Israeli economy pretty much depends on their labour, so they could deal a serious blow without hurting anyone. And who is the world more likely to side with? The peaceful protestors sitting down in front of tanks or the Israeli army?

Palestinians can't celebrate the killing and terrorizing of innocent people on the one hand... and then complain on the other hand that innocent Palestinians are being killed. Even when the Israelis do kill innocent Palestinians... they get flack and pressure from their own people and their allies. When suicide bombers kill little children in Israel... all of Palestine celebrates and dances in the street. No sane westerner could EVER back Palestinian claims at this point, since that would legitimize the tactics of terror used to try and establish them. Why is the killing of Yassin a "great tragedy" but the killing of school children in Tel Aviv cause for a national celebration? I could never figure that out. As fare as i can see there is absolutley no way that any Palestinian state could EVER be accepted by the world until such time as Palestinians condemn their brutal terorism.
