A more telling statistic is that 33,119 people have posted at least one message, http://www.codeproject.com/script/profile/whos_who.asp?VT=mess&PN=3312[^] ,which is quiet remarkable in itself. I'd be interested in knowing how many members have actually downloaded something from CodeProject though. http://www.briandela.com/rss/newsrss.xml RSS FeedNot a specific model yet, no, but, dude, I'm definitely getting a Dell. We have several HP Pavilion laptops here that all suck, and one of my interns has a Gateway that failed. I know they're pretty reliable, but he didn't have his laptop for 4 months and it came back the first time worse than it was. His batteries wouldn't take a charge at all anymore (the original problem is that they took to long to charge, as well as some hard drive problems). Gateway refuses to replace them. That's not what I call services. I'm still not totally decided on a laptop, though. I have an 18.1" flat panel display here at work and really want to get one for use at home since I'll still retain my desktop (it's only a few years old and still runs all my development stuff and Office rather well). I probably will get a laptop, though...sometime toward fall (when our paycuts for the startup I have waning faith in should be lifted).
