Wondering if anyone watched the fight and has any opions on what transpired. I watched myself perched on my chair at the local pub. First round judah is all over Tszyu who doesn't seem be in fight at all. Second round all Tszyu, towards the end of the round Tszyu smashes Judah with a straight right then follows it up with a right cross that smacked Judah fucking senseless. Hit the canvass staggers up points to the referee, staggers to his left and then plants his face in the canvass again. Two knockdowns from one hit. I have seen smackheads on a trip with clearer eyes and more wits about them than Judah had there and then. He was gone, fucked in lala land. Then he comes out throwing stools and sticking his fist in the referees face. Did anyone agree Judah should have been left to carry on? Do you think the boxing authorities will do anything but fine him? Any chance of a suspension? Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. My opinion: Boxing is not a sport, it is just a couple of guys beating the crap out of each other. Boxing should be banned. Anybody who enjoys watching boxing are just a bunch of neanderthals(sp?) reverting to their primal instincts. Boxers are bunch of losers who don't have the brains to do anything but throw their fists around. Boxing promoters are a bunch of leaches who would do anything for a buck. /My opinion: --- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I think they should have let him fight. The ref could have done a standing count, and then Zab would have had another minute to collect himself during the time in between rounds. If he was really that bad, Tszyu would have just knocked him down again, & the fight would have been over. Judah was in there to fight, he wanted to fight, so let him fight! Professional boxing is a farse. Don King is a corrupt money making beast, hardly human at all. The fights are rigged, the fans disapointed (imagine paying $500 for a ring side seat only to watch a 5 second boxing match?!?) and frankly even hinting that pro-boxing is a sport is degrading to all sportsmen. Amateur boxing on the other hand can be very enjoyable. There is grace, skill and tactics involved in amateur boxing. Pro-boxing is all about who hits hardest and is ready to take a fall, that is pathetic. Pro-boxing and WWF should join forces and become the biggest fool-sport on the planet. No one can agree on what a scoring punch is, and no one cares about body shots anyway, so fights devolve into the guys throwing haymakers at each other's head. whee. As for the WWF, well it's become pretty awful lately. No new guys are moving up to the top level (Jericho and Benoit had a chance, but the plug was pulled on that after only 2 weeks) so it's gotten sooooo boring and repetitive. Not to mention that too much TV time is given the bloody McMahons. Vince vs. Shane as the main event of a show? Who is Vince and not even my most intelligent jab could lower WWF's standing in this world :-D I have a solution though to my dislike of WWF: Don't watch it :) As for pro-boxing, well not watching it does not help unfortunatley. I used to have the same views about boxing, but one time I was in a bar with a friend from Nigeria, who happened to understand the sport (unlike me). He explained to me the points system and a whole bunch of other rules. Altough I am still not a fan of boxing, I can now appriciate what its all about. There is more to it than you think. James. Yeah but remember he was stupified beyond belief and y'all live in the land of I'm not responsible and I'm gonna sue your arse. I think besides knowing Judah would continue to be beaten senseless (as he had no control of himself) the ref was also concerned of legal proceedings being taken against him. All this drivel coming from a South African. Now what can I say ... "Ah yes, cricket, Hansie Cronje and that opening bat bloke Gibb's or something so unimportant that I can't remember his name.". Now that was corruption at it's best, "Yes I can throw that match if you pay me enough.". And sportsmenship, we rugger types aren't really as good as we say so lets shoulder play makers on the other team while their not in possesion of the ball. Give me Mike Tyson and Don King anytime. At least they don't hide behind "Gee we're fucking nice blokes and believe in God and that.". They're and know it be it. Puh-leeze. --Mike-- http://home.inreach.com/mdunn/ #include "witty_sig.h" your :bob: with :vegemite: and

You're joking, right? Amateur boxing "judging" is pathetic. No one can agree on what a scoring punch is, and no one cares about body shots anyway, so fights devolve into the guys throwing haymakers at each other's head. whee. Well said Mike, watching the Olympics shows up the pathetic judging. Fighter One smacks Fighter Two on the chin his head snaps back. No scoring shot as the ancient judges didn't click their buzzer within a second of each other. Also corruption is rife in the judging with judges giving their countrymen matches they haven't even gone close to winning. Look at 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and Jeff Fenech for an example.

So what sport is worthy in your opinion? By worthy I don't mean just doesn't involve punching someone in the head either. All sports really have no purpose other than to prove one person is better than the other. Many sports lead to people dying or being permanently injured also. I just don't get the animosity it's their choice. Do you also hate people of different religious view points or sexual orientation? No ones making you watch or participate. Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. All this drivel coming from a South African Hah, you should be collecting my drivel and publishing it in a book as I will be famous one day and then you will be sorry, you, you, Australian! X| "Ah yes, cricket, Hansie Cronje and that opening bat bloke Gibb's Granted cricket has been rocked by some scandals lately* but boxing is corrupt from the very top, from the guy who owns boxing. There is no match without Mr. King and his millions. Sorry Michael but boxing is far worse than cricket, don't even deny it. And sportsmenship, we rugger types aren't really as good as we say so lets shoulder play makers on the other team while their not in possesion of the ball. Stupid players do stupid things. Happens in every sport. I have seen tennis players almost kill an umpire, golf players take a swing at fellow players etc. etc. Tempers get heated and control gets frayed. btw that player you are talking about has been banned for a few matches. I would love to see a boxer even be reprimanded for bad play. Give me Mike Tyson and Don King anytime. At least they don't hide behind "Gee we're f***ing nice blokes and believe in God and that.". They're and know it be it. Hansie was an idiot but that does not mean Mike and King are forgiven for their transgressions just because they admit they are phuked up people. They are the low of the low, scum of the earth. I think you and I need to get in a boxing ring and go a few rounds :-D * though frankly you bleeding Aussies are the worst. Shane and the gang got off with a rap on the nuckles for MUCH worse match fixing and our guy gets dragged over hot coals, no fair! regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge "In other words, the developer is dealing with an elephant, the accountant is dealing with a bunny rabbit." by Stan Shannon - 16/10/2001

If he was really that bad, Tszyu would have just knocked him down again, & the fight would have been over. Yeah but remember he was stupified beyond belief and y'all live in the land of I'm not responsible and I'm gonna sue your arse. I think besides knowing Judah would continue to be beaten senseless (as he had no control of himself) the ref was also concerned of legal proceedings being taken against him. Doesn't matter. Judah is a boxer. Boxers know they are taking certain risks when they step into the ring. If they want to get their faces smashed in, let them. So what sport is worthy in your opinion? Hockey is my number one choice, football, curling, soccer is ok, baseball, basketball, tennis, ect. basicly any sport that relies on the skill and stamina of the athlete. Any sport who's sole object it is is to give your opponent a concussion (more points if you place him in a coma) does not deserve my respect. Do you also hate people of different religious view points or sexual orientation? I can't believe that you would stoop so low as to as to suggest this. Why is it that when ever someone can't support their argument on it's merits, they have to start calling the other guy a bigot or racist. this is the same thing that happens here in Canada if you don't agree with everything the politically correct crowd says when it comes to the settlement of various social issues. You have to either agree 100% with them, or you are the devil incarnate. No ones making you watch or participate You're right, and I don't. But that won't stop me from having an opinion ;P --- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
