I had used Rational Purify long back. and it does a good job too.

BoundsChecker (www.compuware.com[^]) has a 14 day trial. You have to fill out a form and hope they actually get back to you. I highly recommend doing this; I have been extremely dissapointed with BoundsChecker 7.1. It has caught some bugs, but it's an increasingly inferior product with each release and rather buggy itself. Incidentally, I've tried many of the competing products, except Purify, and have been even more dissapointed with them. Anyone who thinks he has a better idea of what's good for people than people do is a swine. - P.J. O'Rourke

after having used both, rational purify seems to be better.

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature.
