Happy ANZAC Day

...to Chris and Bob and all the folks in Australia and NZ and to anybody else who celebrates it. Have a  (or twenty) for me!! "Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. You get a sense of it and then you look away." Jerry Seinfeld

Picture Bob in a sari... X| Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

Thanks Mike ... Although I understand the sentiment, I'm not sure 'happy' or 'celebrate' instantly spring to mind ... it's to 'remember and pay respect to all ANZACS who died in service of their countries' - I think the US have a vets day/'Armistace' day ?? - similarly, I dont think (whatever the day is called) you all go out and party and celebrate those who died its ok, Im not being touchy - maybe we celebrate the life we have now, due to our fallen soldiers - we always have a drink with 'the diggers', ie remaining vets, but by enlarge I think its a contemplative day I will celebrate, when we can prove that we've learnt from all the lessons war has tried to teach us, and there is peace in the world ... so far, Im not holding my breath !!

Mr.Prakash wrote: you know sari is worn by woman Yes, I know that. Mr.Prakash wrote: is bob man or a woman? Bob hasn't declared as either, so I suspect Bob is a Variant. Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

And we play 2-up! Lots and lots of 2-up. Speaking of 2-up a friend of mine was watching the essendon V collingwood game at the mcg in the new members lounge yesterday. He started playing some 2-up (he just happened to have a kit with him) and some old fuddy duddy mcc member came up and demanded he stop playing or risk losing his membership!! My understanding of the 2-up law is that it's legal everywhere on Anzac day. I would have thought the Rsl and Mcc would have strong ties which makes this guys actions even more surprising. Anyone else have a bad 2-up experience? (other than losing all ur money :)) [worldspawn]

worldspawn wrote: old fuddy duddy mcc member Hmm, "Old" "fuddy duddy", "mcc member", there lies the answer. Anybody who is old and a member of either the MCC/MCG/SCG Trust etc. is bound to be a "fuddy duddy" and hence will seek to stop all fun occurring. 2-up is legal between 1pm and 5pm on ANZAC day as far as I am aware. Chris.

Chris Ormerod wrote: "Old" "fuddy duddy", "mcc member" agreed ... although, I have been called a young fuddy duddy (sniff) - actually, I'll have to do some re-reading, to find out WHY we play two-up, unless you can refresh my memory - was it one of the digger's past-times ?? 'G'
