Anybody been to Tarifa in Andalucia, Spain? Probably going to around there for my holidays with hopefully a few days hopping over to Morocco. Also I just read that Spain (and Portugal) is temporarily suspending Schengen treaties during major events. Or at least the article says that Portugal will but mentions Spain too, but not very clearly. Anybody have any info on that as I will need to get a Schengen visa to visit? thanks. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand? All that it means is that they will temoprarily re-establish the border controls. So, if you've got a Visa for one part of the EU it should still be valid for the rest, you just need to present it to officials more often. As far as Spain goes I don't see it makes any difference as you already need a passport (or EU National Identity card) to travel within the country as random checks are in operation. (I've had to go through airline style security check to get on a train between Madrid and Seville and to show my passport to a control officer in Barcelona airport on a flight to Madrid.) However, you're best to check with the relevant Embassies/Consulates before departing. Enjoy your holiday - Andalucia is a very beautiful part of Spain.

Thanks Colin, you make a good point. I will have to check how it relates to non-EU citizens. I had a Schengen for Greece but did not try getting into any other EU countries. I wish I had a EU passport, make life a lot easier. Us Africans have to jump hoops to get Schengen. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand? >I know, if you wanted someone to carry your bags it would be cute & female  I would never make my girl carry my bags. She can carry the sun tan lotion and her bikini. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Christopher Duncan quoted: "...that would require my explaining Einstein's Fear of Relatives" Crikey! ain't life grand?
