Question about Word irritant

Ok there's this thing about Word that totally bugs me. I have an administrator account on my xp machine. When my copy of Office was installed the network administrator put his name on the registration instead of mine. I think this is causing the following warning to pop up everytime I create or open a document on my machine "xxx.doc is being used by . Would you like to make a copy ?" Is there any way to turn this off...or to change my installation information so that it has my name instead of his (since I can't think of any other reason its doing this). PS: No one else has an account on my machine and I do have a licence for using Office " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

Your logic escapes me. But if everytime I created a doc, I was warned that it was in use, I would be removing the software in question and having it re-installed. Start Word. Go to Tools->Options. Click on the User Information tab. Change the name and/or initials. Click on OK. -Sean ---- Shag a Lizard

Thanks for that. It did change the name on irritant message to whatever I enter on Tools->Options...but its still showing it. I don't know what I have to do to get it to go away. I entered the name that's the administrator account. :(( " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

I did locate those. Should I just delete them or should I modify them to the administrator name on the computer. I already did that through tools->options->user information(TAB) and that didn't help. Think these two are the same thing ? Thanks anyways. " Why oh why didn't I take the blue pill ? "

Does it happen for a new document you've just saved then re-opened? Or only for existing documents? Or only for a particular document?
