I discovered that in My CP settings there is no Java checkbox just J#? I happened to like Java but not J#, it would be nice if CP hade a Java forum? MS is now on the good foot with SUN, so let us all shake hands and sing. More Java to the people ;P Please don't stone me because I like Java :-O /Jarek As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality. This is a Microsoft community, and Java is not a Microsoft technology. Out there are more than enough Java forums.

I agree with you, even though I like Java too. The thing is, I feel sorry for all the poor Java-only slobs out there, because CP is by far the best developer-community website I've seen. Chris could probably make a mint just by changing the color scheme to green or blue, Bob to a little purple penguin or triangle or whatever, changing the titles of the message boards, and releasing the rebranded CP as "javasnobs.net"! Not a serious suggestion, but still true. -Jeff here, bloggy bloggy

Did I say that I don't like Java? Java was my first programming language (after QBasic and VB, but that's no language *g*). I used it four years long, until my boss decided too use C# for all desktop application and so I was forced to learn it. My suggestion is to set up three different "virtual sites": codeproject -> windows crossproject -> java and other platform independent (scripting) languages unixproject -> linux and friends Every site would be a codeproject with different filters.

I agree, but because its called Codeproject that does not mean it has to be MS languages, code is code no matter if it comes from SUN or Microsoft /Jarek As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.
