I originally started programming on an Atari ST about 15 or so years ago using Megamax C (or Mega something or other C). I have a bunch of Atari ST floppy disks that still work (and still have my Atari 520 ST) so I'm thinking about archiving and running a few of them via emulation for the fun of it. Just wondering what the best Atari ST emulator is (that can run in a window and/or full screen on Windows)? It seems like there are quite a few available. Not sure where to start. Any ideas? Thanks, Steve

This is the best site I know of for Atari ST info http://www.atari.st[^] It has links to emulators, some of which run in a window from memory

I was quite impressed with GEMulator. Why did you use Megamax C instead of Lattice C, BTW? :) Tomaz

Winston and Pacifict both work well but not used them in a year or so. Steve Franklin wrote: I originally started programming on an Atari ST about 15 or so years ago using Megamax C ( Yep, about the same for me. Was using Hisoft's "Power Basic" then moved to there more powerful "Hisoft Basic 2". Where I also learnt the inards of GUI programming first. Around the same time started C programming first with Sobozon C (or something like that) and then with Lattice C. Still got the boxes lying around somewhere, and my old ST is under the bed I think. Even got quite good at 68000 assembler, though I've not touched it in a long time now. Did not bother with C++ for quite a ew years more, as I remember the only compilers at the time required a minimum of 2MB!! Crazy :)

I remember graduating from sozobon C to Lattice C - my first ever C compilers:)
