Hi, I just deleted a whole bunch of NtUninstallBackup (or something like that) folders in my Windows directory. I know they are backup information for rolling up changes in drivers and service packs and so on. They were over 600 MB on a 20 GB drive where I cannot delete anything else. So far I have not seen any problems, but could I have caused something? Also, I have a 700 MB movie that I haven't been able to delete for months. It is always in use. I have tried deleting it just after system start up, before shutdown, killing most processes and it's always in use. Any ideas? -- LuisR ──────────────   Luis Alonso Ramos   Chihuahua, Mexico   www.luisalonsoramos.com "San Franciso - where men are men - er - women are men - ugh - men are women, and well, the sheep are confused." -- John Simmons, Jun. 25, 2003

If you are trying to delete the file using explorer, perhaps it is trying to update the preview which is why it cannot be deleted. The suggestion below using the command prompt should work. Steve
