Hey, Chris came over tonight and cooked Julie and I his famous creamy chicken curry... and jeeez was it good :-D If you can ever convince him to come cook for you, I'd highly recommend it! David

Yeah, I had some kind of microwavable pasta that claimed to be a Fetuccini Alfredo, but fell far short of the mark. I make far better myself, but didn't feel like cooking tonight. Some people think of it as a six-pack; I consider it more of a support group.

chuckle - I would have thought that you would think of it as 'plain fare' and that something like Thai, Greek, Italian etc would be 'exotic' to you Ravi ... I think I'm lucky - I'm of Anglo-Saxon heritage which means Im not really culturally bound to a food 'stereo-type' - and I love (and know how to cook) Indian, Thai, Italian .... (insert infinity symbol here) sorry for making your mouth water ... 'G'

I would kill for good Indian food. And Thai. And Greek. And Italian. Come to think of it, I'd kill for anything other than deli meats and Wonder bread. I would kill for good Indian food. And Thai. And Greek. And Italian. Come to think of it, I'd kill for anything other than deli meats and Wonder bread. Creamy Chicken curry 500g meat (chicken is good) 400ml coconut milk 3 tbl red curry paste 3tbl fish sauce 2tbl palm sugar (or brown sugar) 2 stalks lemon grass, crushed 75g crushed peanuts salt and pepper to taste 3 small potatoes, diced (optional) Chilli to taste 5 lime leaves. Steam cook potatoes (or cook them in a microwave for 12 mins). Heat ½ the coconut in a pan and boil till it separates (3-5 mins). Add curry paste and cook. Add fish sauce, sugar, lemon grass and cook till the colour changes. Add the rest of the coconut milk and bring to the boil. Add cubed meat and pre cooked potato, stir and simmer for 10 mins.
