    FreeVCS (www.freevcs.de) is also a good one. It's been a while since it's been updated, but it's being converted to opensource (http://jedivcs.sourceforge.net). It's completely free, has a nice ui with lots of features (all sorts of reports, integrated bug tracker, ...). It's a 3tier architecture, with the freeVCS server in the middle that can connect to a couple of database systems (default is a file DB (ISAM)). I even think there's an add-in for VC++6.0 available Regards, Otherside

          I actually use AnkhSVN as it intergrates with VS.NET

            If it's only for yourself, you can use SourceGear Vault (a commercial tool) free of charge. It would be worth having a look around the other commercial tools to see whether they offer anything similar. Gavin Greig "Haw, you're no deid," girned Charon. "Get aff ma boat or ah'll report ye." Just as a satisfied customer, I'd like to say that Vault is great. It's everything SourceSafe was supposed to be for remote source control. We actually purchased the thing, but it has been a great purchase thus far. Give me one more medicated peaceful moment

              I dig Vault. It's the first source control tool I've used, so I can't directly compare it to anything, but it sure as heck beats the tar out of using nothing. :) Great tool. Charlie if(!curlies){ return; }

                Subversion with the Tortoise SVN, works very nicely (I am on Windows using VS.NET for web-projects in a small team). regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Ian Darling wrote: "and our loonies usually end up doing things like Monty Python." Crikey! ain't life grand?

                  Yes, TSVN is an add-on for Subversion and SV works on CSV. Not sure if that means it is exploitable :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Ian Darling wrote: "and our loonies usually end up doing things like Monty Python." Crikey! ain't life grand?

                    SVN versions prior to 1.0.4 have a date formating exploit that is fixed in 1.0.4. So get the latest version of SVN. Also, TortiseSVN is an SVN client so it doesn't have the exploit, just the server.

                          Its the slowest useless piece of #$@# I have used. Takes ages to check out projects, then it fails to apply delta or something, doesnt work properly with different line endings.... top secret xacc-ide 0.0.1
