Geeks usually like "Alternative" music. I was just wondering what kind of music everyone likes. I personally like a lot of Techno/Electronic/Dance music. I also like rock (Semisonic, Nickelback, Thrid Eye Blind, Celine Dion), hard rock (LinKin Park, Evanescance, Tourniquet), rap (Eminem, Tobymac), and classical (Tchaikovsky, Beethoven). Does anyone else have very diverse tastes in music? Aaron Eldreth TheCollective4.com My Articles While much is too strange to be believed, Nothing is too strange to have happened. - T. Hardy

I like pretty much anything, except for rap, rnb, country, but there always exceptions to the rule. Lately I like coding to mindless techno, trancy, ambient stuff.

Searching the web without Google is like straining sewage with your teeth.

Celine Dion = rock? Surely some mistake! ;) Currently listening to a mix of Radiohead, Muse, The White Stripes, The Strokes, The Charlatans, PJ Harvey and The Rolling Stones.

I like different kinds of music. I listen to a lot of dark wave, gothic, and and a few kinds of metal (Nightwish, Deine Lakaien, Project Piotchfork, Blind Guardian). Just as well I like electronic music (Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis) and the "new age" stuff that came up in the 70's. Sometimes I listen to classical music (Chopin, Tschaykovsky, Mozart). I play the piano at home and the accordion in an orchestra, and I like nearly every music as long as it 100% instrumental. Human voices can destroy even the greatest melody.

I like mallow and classical. I think someone liking on a music reflects his personality.

current playlist consists mostly of techno/electronica/ambient of all flavors and style with some more "rock" thing like Rush, Concrete Blonde, Chicks on Speed, GodSpeed You! Black Emperor , and a couple of songs off Johnny Cash's "America IV ... " and in particular, the new Banco De Gaia "You Are Here" , and the new Thomas Brinkmann "Tokio +1"

I listen to hard rock, blues, and trip-hop/ambient probably the most. It's not unusual for me to listen rap, RnB, classical, bluegrass, trance, or pop rock(alternative), jazz (except freestyle and smooth), I can stand about 15 minutes of opera, country, Top 40. I'd like to explore more "world" music. I enjoy traditional Native American, African and Asian sounds, though I couldn't really say I like this artist or that one. Some perennial favs are Aerosmith, Days of the New, Tool, Prince, ZZ Top, Rush, Future Sound of London, Y&T, Maiden, Lo-Fidelity Allstars, Robert Miles, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Lucky Peterson, and Joe Satriani.
