Still, I don't envy you at all... all I had to see was the mall and the power outlets by all the parking spaces (for plugging in the engine block to stop it from freezing) to know I'm glad I live where I do. :) :)

Gidday from Down-Under, Australia Sydney : temp Yesterday (Monday 26th) was 34C (=93F) aaaahhhhhh .. gimme that warmth, its good for my bones (when you have as many scars/old breaks as I do, not that Im wishing that on anyone, you'll understand why from my POV, warmer is better) (from a distinctly NOT cold climate animal) :-)

I've never been in snow :-( It does not snow here... Always hot, then hotter and hotter And rain, but never snow Once or twice I've seen ice fall [yeah ice] along with the rain, but it never snows. damn! I have to admit that is the nuttiest thing I have heard of for awhile. I can not imagine having to plug my car in to prevent it from freezing over. Back in Cape Town we have to ensure our cars don't overheat in the mid summer. During mid-winter we can still fry an egg or burger on our radiators without any trouble. -15C here in Calgary 8-10 inches of snow over the weekend. We didn't close any schools.;P There are no small projects - only young ones.
Here in Alabama if it snows even an inch people panic and buy out the stores of bread and milk. When I was in high school, they once closed the schools because there were snow flurries early in the morning, by noon the temperate was around 70F and clear skies, we had a great 'snow' day. From an internal company e-mail November, 2001 -- "Would the person who stole the ethics training manual from the class last Friday please return it."
